mary stein

(she/her/hers) is a writer, editor, and educator. Her fiction can be found in the literary wilderness at Tin House Flash Fridays, Caketrain, The Brooklyn Rail, Water~Stone Review , and other journals. Her writing has been recognized with a Minnesota Emerging Writers’ Grant, a Loft Mentor Series Award, and a Minnesota State Arts Board grant. Mary is currently a core instructor with the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop and she’s starting The Wordcraft Collective.

Mary is represented by Nordlyset Literary agency and is at work on a novel. She edits fiction, non-fiction, and the occasional poetry collection.
